Dion Summers

A child of radio, DION SUMMERS has immersed himself in music and culture for as long as he could remember!  AT 15, a chance phone call to his local Top 40 radio station, landed him an internship – his first foray into the industry.  After four years at Syracuse University, much of which spent at student-run WJPZ-FM, Dion started his commercial radio career in 1994, at his hometown WERQ-FM (92Q Baltimore).  Dion spent nine successful years at 92Q, rising through the ranks from Overnight Personality to Program Director.  Following his tenure at 92Q, Dion spent three years in Miami, where he helmed iheartmedia hip-hop station, 103.5 The Beat.  Since 2005, Dion has explored new media, managing Urban formats for SiriusXM Satellite Radio.  In 2020 and 2021, Dion was awarded recognition as a Billboard Magazine ‘Power Player’ for his near-thirty year career in radio.
